O Death, I shall never long for you
For it is beneath a man to want you.
You are the desire of the suffering,
The cry of those who have lost all love—and hatred.

O Death, I shall never long for you,
For the thought of you disgusts a man.
You are a sentiment born of darkness,
Longed for by the weak, the broken.

O Death, shall I long for you?
For you are the dilemma of all before me,
And of all who will come after me—
The ultimate truth I cannot escape.

O Death, shall I long for you?
I neither accept you, nor deny you.
I am entangled and trapped,
Between those I love,
And those who lead me to you.
